Gluer Operator

Monday through Thursday

Position Overview

Gluer Operator is responsible for set-up and operation of a variety of gluing machines such as Bobst, International, Omega and/or Domino gluing machines. Operator will be performing make ready, machine operation, including trouble shooting problems, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Interpret layout and factory order information
• Responsible for gluing machine set up, performs adjustment to accommodate new orders
• Inspects and reviews each order to assure conformance to specifications
• Maintains accurate written records of production, records waste, production time etc.
• Operates gluers to achieve maximum through put and meet quality standards
• Utilizes material handling equipment, hand truck, electric pallet jack and forklift
• Performs preventive maintenance as required
• Accomplishes daily housekeeping requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned by team leader or manager
• Abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and security procedures
• Willing to work flexible hours as necessary

Key Skills

• Mechanical aptitude – (Machine operator or Machinist Training)
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Math skill including understanding of measurements
• Problem solving ability
• Computer skills
• Ability to communicate verbally and written
• Excellent attendance record

Requirements

• Must be able to perform physical activities that require the use of arms and legs in motions such as walking, stooping and balancing tooling.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• 1 to 2 years of work related experience in gluer operation preferred. (Will train a mechanically qualified candidate)
• Must pass pre-employment testing and background check.

• Professional presentation and excellent verbal skills.
• Proven sales background with sales experience in the Folding Carton Industry and very stable work history.
• Understands goals and objectives both individually and corporately.
• Knowledgeable of Northeastern Folding Carton markets and able to generate leads, develop and cultivate strong relationships based on company's mission, values and integrity.
• The ideal candidate will be physically located within the Northeastern sales territory.
• Qualified candidates will have an active level of Folding Carton sales.

Must have folding carton experience
